A month ago, (I think) I surprisingly received an email from Shai regarding this workshop. Of course, I was excited. I’ve known Shai and Love Chic 2-3 years ago and I am still a fan until today. With her four years of experience in blogging plus nine years in fashion and media, I was really looking forward to that workshop day.

August 26, 2014 / 1 ♥ / Comments

Without further ado, here’s the part 2! :)

6 Weeks to Go

  • Shop for the gifts for the entourage. It’s a tradition. Also shop for the things you’ll need on your wedding day.
  • List and print the final program.
  • Fit your wedding gown and check if there’s alterations needed.
  • Get your marriage license.
  • Submit the list of songs to your DJ/Band now.

Well not really plan.. but let me just give you some quick infos, ideas and more tips that I gathered all through out my wedding expo trips and more. :)

12 Months Before

  • Decide on a budget. Decide if you want a big or small wedding, if you want a ceremony or a simple civil partnership. Also decide for the date. In picking the venue, do also consider the accesibilty and how your guests would come to your wedding. Destination or Out Of Town Weddings are perfect, but make sure everyone can afford it.
  • Visualize your wedding. What do you want. Who do you want. List it down For receptions, Hotels and other event venues are quaint and safe, and by safe I mean safe from rains. How ever, if you want your wedding to be shabby and different, you can go for beaches, village halls, boathouses, barns, and gardens. Not ownly it’s cheaper, nothing beats the fresh air and homey feel. If you’re having a Civil Wedding, reception place would be perfect as Brunch. Since it’ll be a small celebration it can be just a small room from a restaurant, or buffet, or even at your house. You can just buy food which are ready to eat.
  • Start looking at wedding inspirations on websites, magazines and expos.
  • Make reservations! Allow a year before reserving, not only it’s cheap but also it helps you decide for the date, in case the reception/ceremony venue won’t coordinate well. So you’ll have a backup plan.

Rediscover Reese’s Throwback Festival Fair was held last August 2, 2014 at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall from 10:00am to 9:00pm. It was just a sudden change of plans and I ended up there. And probably one of the best decisions for that day. Since it’s a Fair, Reese’s had different games and treats for everyone! They also had sweet treats for everyone and ended the fair with a Mini Concert of Itchyworms and Never the Strangers. Fun Day indeed!

Themes and Motifs, since July 1999 is one of the top and most prestigious source for wedding inspirations and suppliers. Now just a little note, I am not getting married anytime soon, I just like to go to these kind of events to learn the trends, forecasting, and learn things on event planning. Anyways, I got the invites from the Themes and Motifs Office itself at Makati Shangri La, and yes, it’s much easier than online invites! So if ever you’re around that area, I’d highly recommend you to drop by! (Next is Sept. 13-14 at SMX again)

The 1975 Live in Manila

June 24, 2014 / 1 ♥ / Comments

I remember when me and James first heard The 1975 in this proposal. Ever since, we got so hooked! I remember it’s our travel playlist and we’d listen to it together. He even sings some of the songs for me. Then, few weeks after I caught the news that they’re going to Manila! So exicted, James called me and I shared the news. God, I have never seen the both of us so excited in a gig.
